Howard Goldman and his wife Barbara are long time members of Temple Judea where their sons, Zachary and Aaron, were raised. Prior to becoming Executive Director in 2014, and prior to selling his last company in 2011, Howard owned and ran businesses in the household products, bio-tech, and wholesale pharmaceutical industries. Most recently after his last business, Howard studied Computer Science at Florida International University.
Howard grew up in Miami at Temple Israel where his Jewish involvement began. While at Temple Israel he was president of the youth group and a member of Zion AZA. During college he was a counselor at Camp Coleman and Camp Barney Medintz.
After graduating from the University of Florida (yes, another Gator!) where he was a member of TEPhi fraternity, Howard went into the family business and became active in the Jewish community. He has been very active in Hillel on university campuses (at UF, throughout Florida & nationwide), the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and Temple Judea (serving on the board and executive committee). Howard is also an ardent supporter of Israel and has been there many times including twice with the March of the Living.
For Howard his new job is one with a higher purpose. He looks forward to utilizing years of experience in the business world to help Temple Judea move forward with a new vision, as a leader in the Reform Jewish movement.
